Reset and Recharge



I just read an article one of my clients wrote about mental health and self care. In it, she talks about how important self care is for her emotional and mental health. This is exactly why I do what I do. Our emotional and mental health directly impacts our physical health. With the stressful lives we live, our bodies rarely have a chance to drop into a relaxed state where we can reset and recharge.


I have been thinking a lot about what it is that I love about the work I do. I love that the work of CranioSacral Therapy and Aquatic Bodywork really touches the whole person. When I put my hands on someone on the treatment table or float them in the water, I am meeting their whole being and everything they are carrying with them. Through deep presence and and gentle awareness, I am able to hold the space for my clients to fully drop into a relaxed state, allow for whatever needs to surface (emotionally, mentally, and physically) to come forward. Often times, simply acknowledging what is there in the presence of another human being is all that is needed for healing. It’s simple. It’s beautiful. It’s human.
